About the Role:


As a Assistant Manager, you'll oversee one of our core service areas, managing 2535 dog walkers and 12 senior walkers. You'll report directly to the Operations Manager and act as the go-to person for daily field operations, scheduling, and team support.


Responsibilities:


Ensure Exceptional Pet Care Services:


  • Manage and support a team of 2535 walkers and 12 lead walkers
  • Handle emergency and planned time off, ensuring seamless coverage
  • Respond to real-time field needs, dispatching leads or stepping in as needed
  • Oversee daily schedules, optimize walking routes, and approve schedule changes
  • Step in for pet care services when necessary to maintain continuity
  • Conduct some new client intro meetings and resolve any client concerns
  • Maintain accurate invoicing and payment processes


Develop and Support Your Team:


  • Coordinate training and onboarding for new hires
  • Provide mentorship and accountability for senior walkers
  • Promote a culture of support, retention, and engagement
  • Conduct performance reviews and give regular, constructive feedback
  • Lead recruitment, interviews, and terminations for your territory


Support Business Operations:


  • Provide rotational weekend, evening, and holiday coverage
  • Respond to new client inquiries and coordinate intro meetings
  • Collaborate with the Operations Manager on special projects
  • Prepare and review client billing and team payroll bi-weekly
