Founded in 2000, Urban Tailz is one of Chicago's longest-running dog-walking and pet-sitting businesses. We bring decades of experience providing organized, efficient, and trustworthy care for our clients and their pets.

Overnight Pet-sitting is an additional earning opportunity for team members who enjoy spending extended time with pets and are comfortable staying in a client's home while they are away for the major Holidays and surrounding dates (Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day).

The Role

As an Overnight Pet-sitter, you'll provide consistent, attentive care for our clients' pets while staying in their home. You'll help maintain the pets' normal routine, keep the home secure and cared for, and provide proactive communication throughout the stay. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys animals, is responsible and independent, and is comfortable making a client's home their primary location during an overnight stay and during the major Holidays.

What You'll Do & Expectations

• Stay overnight in the client's home and provide attentive, consistent pet care.
• Follow client instructions, house rules, feeding/medication schedules, and pet routines.
• Provide 3 updates with photos per full day and 2 updates per half day.
• Keep pets safe, fed, exercised, and comfortable throughout the stay.
• Monitor pets for health or behavior concerns and promptly contact the office when needed.
• Pets may not be left alone for more than 5 consecutive hours or 8 hours total per day. A Fill-In Walk is required for absences over 5 hours.
• Spend the majority of your free time at the home with the pets.
• No personal guests or overnight visitors are permitted during the stay.
• Leave the client's home clean, tidy, and secure upon departure.

We're Looking For

• Provide Overnight care in a client's home during/surrounding the major Holidays (Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day)
• 18+ years old and authorized to work in the U.S.
• Reliable, responsible, and comfortable working independently.
• Comfortable staying overnight in a client's home.
• Comfortable caring for dogs, cats, and other household pets.
• Able to follow detailed instructions and maintain established pet routines.
• Comfortable using a smartphone and Time To Pet for communication, updates, and service documentation.

Pay & Perks

• $100 per Overnight + Holiday fees for company-observed holidays

Overnight Pet-sitting availability and assignments are based on client demand, service area, sitter availability, and scheduling needs.
